[14] The current working title of Stevie's new album which he hopes to have out next year is The Gospel Inspired By Lula.
[09] Grammy Nomination -Stevie along with Tony Bennett have been nominated for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for their rendition For Once In My Life taken from Bennett's latest album.
[05] Stevie was on hand last night (December 04) to present Tony Bennett with the Century Award at the annual Billboard Awards Show.

[17] Stevie will take part in the public memorial service for R&B singer Gerald Levert at noon today at Music Hall in Cleveland. His father, Eddie Levert of the O'Jays, is also scheduled to perform.
[03] Stevie was honoured Wednesday night (Nov. 1st) in L.A.'s by the City of Hope, the Southern California cancer research and treatment centre, as part of a night dubbed Songs of Hope. Stevie said, "I just feel honoured to be asked to come here. More than receiving an award, just to be here, to be a vehicle to be used to raise money for City of Hope."

[19] Motown has announced it will be releasing re-mastered 2 albums on 1 CD for Stevie's 1960's albums. They will include bonus tracks, updated sleevenotes and rare photos. These should be available in 2007.
[19] On Tuesday Oct 17 Stevie received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Civil Rights Museum, then segued from his acceptance speech into a medley of his songs that included My Cherie Amour and I Wish. The museum also awarded civil rights pioneer Dr. Joseph Lowery the National Freedom Award and Doctors Without Borders co-founder Bernard Kouchner the International Freedom Award. Stevie said "music is a gift he can share" urging his audience to "use the gifts God has given us to help those less fortunate. You must use your eyes, voices, ears. Tomorrow is never promised to any of us. You must be the best you can be right now"
[16] Stevie will take part in Songs of Hope IV, a special silent auction and awards benefit on November 1. The event will feature performances by Stevie and others. In addition, Clive Davis will present Stevie with The Clive Davis Legends in Songwriting award. Proceeds will go towards the fight against cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
[16] Stevie performed at the annual Women's World Awards on Saturday 14th Oct in New York. The event was hosted by Mikail Gorbachev (former President of the Soviet Union) and Terri Hatcher.

[27] Stevie is scheduled to appear on the NBC TV special Tony Bennett An American Classic onNovember 21.
[19] On Sunday 17thMadeleine Albright and Colin Powell presented the Thelonious Monk Institute's annual award, the Maria Fisher Founders Award for public service, to Stevie at the White House. Stevie accepted the award in memory of his mother.

[08] After being honoured last year by UNCF, Stevie will be on hand to pay tribute to this year's honouree, Aretha Franklin.

[29] Stevie performed at a New Orleans concert (the Rebuilding the Soul of America) to mark one year since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf coast of the US. He closed the evening with a 30 minute set.

[04] Stevie is honoured with National Artistic Achievement Award Live on PBS' a Capitol Fourth which he dedicates to his mother Lula Mae Hardaway. He also performed a mini concert with hits including Sir Duke, Masterblaster and Signed Sealed Delivered.

[09] At the funeral services yesterday, Stevie sang and expressed the peace in knowing that Mama Lula was in heaven. Also performing at the funeral were The Soul Stirrers, Yolanda Adams, Take 6 and James Ingram. Click here for photo.
[07] Funeral services for Lula Mae Hardaway will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday 8th June at West Angeles Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles. (3600 Crenshaw Blvd).
[01] RIP Mama Lula 31 May.2006 Today we mourn the passing of Lula Mae Hardaway, Stevie Wonder's mother. Mama Lula as she was fondly referred to by Stevie was instrumental in the nurturing of Stevie and his career. She wrote many songs with Stevie including the hit, Signed Sealed Delivered, I'm Yours. We would all like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Stevie and his family during this time of bereavement. A tribute page can be found here.

[26] Last night (May 25th) Stevie wowed the crowd at the ceremony inducting Michigans's great personalities to the Michigan Walk of Fame. Stevie Performed a half hour set to close off proceeding including, My Cherie Amour, You are the Sunshine of my Life, Superstition, I Just Called to Say I Love You and Can't Imagine Love Without You.
[20] The album A Time To Love won the Major Label Recording award at the Detroit Music Awards.
[19] Stevie can be heard singing and playing keyboards onOmar's new album Sing (If You Want It), released this week, on a song he composed called Feeling You.
[18] On May 25th Stevie will be in Lansing to attend his induction into the Michigan Walk of Fame. Other inductees include Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Rosa Parks and W.K. Kellogg.
